ODE TO POISON IVY
Oh poison ivy, you three-leaf witch
You touched my skin and made me itch
You’ve covered my chest and face and neck
You’re in my yard, the trees, and deck
The itching is bad, but the oozing was worse
I could go on, but I don’t want to curse.
An hour today I spent with you
Such private moments, oh yes, it’s true
It is time to part; forever you’ll go
So farewell Ms. Ivy, you won’t be missed…
Seriously – leave. Now.
